Welcome to the opportunity to Volunteer with Northwest Portland Ministries (NWPM). Our “Volunteers Make a World of Difference” right here in Northwest Portland.

As the Faith in Action Volunteer Program Manager, I look forward to meeting each of you who are looking for a way to support people in need--- putting your faith into action helping other.

There are so many folks in Northwest Portland who appreciate a helping hand with a smile. The rewards of volunteering include the likelihood that you will meet other great people too! Why wait to get started?

Listed below are our current 4 outstanding Volunteer Project opportunities to meet your individual interests:

• Neighbor-to-Neighbor - one-to-one visiting, companionship, escort
• Transportation - drive neighborhood residents to medical appointments and other appointments
• Loaves and Fishes - help at neighborhood meal site or with Meals-on-Wheels
• Adopt-A-Highrise - join a group that sponsors special events like holiday parties and/or initiate new projects or classes for residents
• (NEW) Health & Wellness Center -start a health-related service or class such as art therapy, chair exercise, nutrition; start a reference library; offer medical skills
